Fort Lauderdale Coral Reefs
There are three beautiful natural coral reefs within swimming distance of our pristine beach, making Lauderdale by the Sea the shore diving capital of the United States. At the Lauderdale by the Sea Resort & Beachclub we encourage our guests to explore these underwater treasures through a host of activities. Snorkel Excursions:
There are several ways that visitors and families can explore the reefs. The Resort offers private and group guided snorkel tours of the reefs. Guests may also rent or purchase snorkel equipment to explore these reefs on their own.

Hammock vs. Corona

Corona beer has been successful in shaping what we expect to see when we go on a beach resort vacation, whether its on a remote island or in Ft. Lauderdale. The most striking is an image of a couple relaxing on opposing hammocks, not saying a word and just swinging along with nothing but the beach and the ocean in view. I would argue that this image makes us all want to run to Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, the Florida Keys or a nearby Bahamian island for some rest and relaxation.
Who knew a hammock could be such a powerful tool? I would think that any beachfront resort in Ft. Lauderdale must come equipped with a hammock. The next problem is finding a hotel or resort that has direct beach access. It is not too common in S. Florida to find direct beachfront hotels, but they are there in towns like Lauderdale by the Sea, Pompano Beach, and some parts of Ft. Lauderdale.
